With over 35 years of legal, board development, financial oversight and governance work, Pam Knowles applies a strategic planning lens to the vision she has of reimagining Willamette Falls as a public place for thousands to enjoy up close. With a long-held interest in seeing the Falls restored, she joined the Willamette Falls Trust board in 2019 and is inspired to see how this community-led project can once again celebrate the full grandeur of the Falls.

Knowles believes Willamette Falls can be a place to celebrate the significance of the Native Americans who lived and fished along the river centuries before anyone else arrived. She also imagines a day when visitors will see the Falls uninhibited and the surrounding area restored to its original beauty so that generations to come can learn its many stories and enjoy the surrounding environment.
